Welcome to LizBeth Photography, a place where I will share the pictures I take as I expand my knowledge of photography and my skill as an amateur photographer.
What started this particular journey was something both fairly simple and rather large. I have always loved taking pictures (that's the simple part). I take them every chance I get, which is fairly often since my iPod is almost constantly by my side. Even if the pictures themselves are total crap, I still take the opportunity to take them. The larger piece of this is new adventure is the fact that in three days time I will be moving into my very first apartment all by myself. I'll be moving back to my home town and leaving my mother and younger brother two hours behind.
I decided if I was going off to start a completely new life, a new hobby should be part of the program. It was a toss between filmmaking (screenwriting/producing) and photography. I decided that photography needed less people to start up with and I already had a camera and a love of taking pictures so that made the most sense to me. Filmmaking is more than welcome to revisit my life a few years down the road. =)
Most of the pictures I'll be posting over the next few days and as my journey begins will be pretty much landscape/nature shots, I don't have much else to work with at the moment. On June 1st however I will be participating (sort of) in a month long photo challenge. I have actually found two challenges recently on Pinterest that I would love to do. One specifically for the month of June and the other is just a generic 30 photo challenge. I may try both at once! Who knows?
I hope you enjoy my photos and if any advanced/professional photographers should happen across my page and notice glaring mistakes in my technique or just have general advice to offer, all advice/constructive critiquing is welcome.
